How do I know if the inspection will help me?

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. We will explain the whole process of a thermal, infrared inspection to you with regard to your particular situation and help you plot a solution.

Should new construction be scanned?

Absolutely, If you can’t see your problem or even know if you have one, how can you fix it? If any problems are detected the cost will be covered under your builders warranty.

Is my report confidential?

Yes. We take our clients confidentiality seriously. All findings and records are not discussed with any 3rd parties.

Do you travel to distant sites and what are the fees?

Yes we travel to your site. Before we leave to inspect a site a cost estimate is approved by the client.

How long does it take?

An average residence can be Thermally scanned in 1.5 hours with 1.5 more hours for report generation. On large homes or commercial projects, it can be quite a bit longer depending on the nature of the scan.

What will you see?

Good question... It depends on the site, how it was constructed and the conditions surrounding the inspection including the temperature, location etc. Please contact me with your situation and I will have a good idea based on the information you report.

Will I receive pictures of the findings?

Yes, you will receive a detailed report with all images attached if requested.

Can thermal imaging cameras see through the walls?

No. Although it appears as if you are seeing through the walls, you are actually seeing the temperature changes on the wall due to materials, moisture, etc. directly on or behind the wall.

Is infrared thermal imaging destructive?

No. Thermal imaging is the leading non-destructive, non-invasive form of inspections available today. If requested we can provide Invasive testing and Destructive testing.

How does infrared thermal imaging detect moisture?

An infrared camera will show a thermal anomaly and the presence of moisture is confirmed using a pin less moisture meter. The Thermal IR camera is one of many tools we use to accurately detect moisture and track water leaks.
